How it all began.

November, 2007. About 2 weeks after he asked me to be his girlfriend

I can still remember the first time I saw his face. I had just moved to Ellijay, GA from Kennesaw, GA and I was in Sherwin Williams with my mom trying to find the "perfect" color of paint for my new room. There he was standing behind the counter waiting to help us. After taking around an hour or so to figure out the paint situation we left paint in hand back home to start the task of painting. A few months later  I found a job as a waitress for a brand new restaurant that had not even opened yet a girl I knew from the youth group I had been attending also got a job there as a hostess. It was very fun to have someone I knew there with me. It made it much less awkward! Katie (my friend) would always talk to me about her awesome brother who worked at Starbucks. I have to admit I did think he was very attractive. So when I found out he was single I started going through the Starbucks drive-thru every day almost just to see him and talk with him. He was so nice and so HOT! ha ha. I found him on Facebook and we started talking then he asked me for my phone number and he called me. We talked almost everyday. It turned out that he went to my church (that his parents went to) a few times but I never saw him. It also turns out that he was the guys who did the order for us at Sherwin Williams. How weird. Well we talked more and more. A couple weeks after he called me for the first time, he asked me if I would like to go to the drive in with him and his family. Of course I said yes. I was so nervous calling my friends asking what I should wear putting on my make-up. Oh the butterflies in my stomach... they were going crazy that day. ell we went on our date (with his family) and it was so special I still remember being propped up in the trunk of his dads car with the trunk door open. His family was all sitting in lawn chairs in front of us. It was just him and I. He held my and and kissed my head (not my lips) he was so sweet. Well we went on random group dates with his family and talked constantly. Then, one night he came and asked my dad for permission to take me on a real date. Just he and I my first real date ever! I was so excited! That was the most wonderful date ever! He was amazing. More than I had ever prayed for or wanted in a man. Three months to the day from our very first date with his family and that night, October 14, 2007 at 11:47 he asked me if I would be his girlfriend. Of course I said yes. And now a year and a half later he has asked me to be his wife (the proposal story to come later). What an amazing and perfect relationship we have had. We have had our tough times of course but we have grown through those times and learned that God needs to be the center of our relationship. I could have never asked for a better man in my life. I am the luckiest girl in the world.
